About The Job
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Contract Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team based in our Bellevue, WA This role requires working on-site 3 to 5 days a week. The primary focus will be on identifying, attracting, and hiring exceptional backend engineering talent to fuel our company's growth within the competitive B2B Security Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product landscape, though you will be required to work on other job openings as needed.

This position plays a critical role in scaling our engineering capabilities, which directly impacts our product development velocity and our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our enterprise clientele. Securing top technical talent is paramount in the B2B SaaS space, and this role requires a recruiter with a deep understanding of the specific engineering skill sets and calibre needed to develop world class B2B SaaS products.

This is a 6 month contract position designed to augment our existing talent acquisition capabilities during a period of focused growth or specific project needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment Management:
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and engineering leaders to gain a deep understanding of technical requirements, define role specifications, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Design and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies utilizing a mix of channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networking platforms, niche technical sites (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow), job boards, employee referrals, and direct outreach to build robust pipelines of both active and passive candidates.
  • Thoroughly screen resumes and applications against technical and experiential requirements. Conduct initial phone screens and pre-screening calls to assess candidate qualifications, technical depth, alignment with role expectations, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling of interviews across various stages, including technical assessments, hiring manager discussions, and team interviews, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for candidates and interviewers.
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and feedback to ensure a positive candidate experience, reflecting positively on the company brand.
  • Facilitate the offer process, including presenting offers, managing negotiations within established parameters, and collaborating with HR for a seamless handover to onboarding.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely data entry and management within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all candidate interactions and process stages.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion rates, and candidate quality to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Backend Engineering Focus: This role will primarily concentrate on recruiting Backend Software Engineers, though it will also provide support as needed for other technical job types. Your deep knowledge of backend product development engineers will be leveraged to target, screen and manage candidates through to hire.
  • B2B SaaS Environment: Operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced B2B SaaS product company environment. Understand the nuances of recruiting engineers capable of building scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise-grade software solutions.
  • Startup Environment: You will leverage your experience operating in environments that require the ability to adjust to a changing landscape while always maintaining your focus on delivering high quality hires.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of demonstrable experience as a Technical Recruiter, with a significant portion dedicated to sourcing and hiring software engineers, particularly backend roles.
  • Industry Background:Mandatory, non-negotiable experience working directly for a company that primarily develops and markets its own B2B SaaS products to enterprise customers. Experience gained solely through staffing agencies, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), or IT services/consulting firms will not meet this requirement. This ensures familiarity with the unique demands and culture of a product-centric B2B SaaS organization as well as understanding full lifecycle recruiting within a B2B SaaS company.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven ability to understand complex backend technologies for candidate sourcing and screening. Must be able to effectively engage with technical candidates and assess their skills and experience against job requirements.
  • Sourcing Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of advanced sourcing techniques, including complex Boolean search strings, effective utilization of LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing from platforms like GitHub and Stack Overflow, and leveraging professional networks to identify and engage high-quality passive technical talent.
  • Full-Cycle Proficiency: A strong track record of successfully managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from requirement gathering to offer acceptance, with a focus on efficiency, quality of hire, and candidate experience.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Location & Work Arrangement: Must be currently based in Seattle/Bellevue, WA and possess the ability and willingness to work 3 to 5 days a week from our Bellevue, WA office.

Competitive rates provided for this contractor role ranging from $45 per hour to $80 per hour based on skills and experience.
