The Gogo Business Aviation CONTRACT Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician role focuses on supporting Manufacturing Engineers and Production personnel in the assembly and testing of Gogo’s products. This position will assist in the implementation, qualification and maintenance of Manufacturing Process documentation, assembly tooling and test equipment.
As part of our team, you will have the chance to be a part of test system development from start to finish including both software and hardware. As Gogo grows, opportunities for career advancement will continue to become available in and out of the Manufacturing Engineering team.

How will you make a difference?

Learn Gogo’s products and their manufacturing and test processes. Apply that knowledge in:

New Production Introduction: Bring-up, documentation and qualification of new assembly & test equipment processes. Provide feedback on areas for improvement of accuracy, efficiency, and usability; this includes both hardware and software/UI aspects.

Assembly and Production Sustainment: Management of existing production assembly and test processes, including assisting in root cause failure isolation. Conclude with a detailed report detailing the cause of failure and corrective action recommendation.

Repair Station Support: Create and manage sustainment of rework routers and production orders

Provides training to Production and Repair Technicians for NPI and Sustainment Manufacturing Test processes.
Qualifications
-
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, a technical degree or equivalent work experience.

4-7 years of experience working in a Production Support Technician role, working with electromechanical products.

This will be a 6-month contract to start
Required skills and talents

Proven experience with test equipment and process bring-up, qualification (MSA) and maintenance, including detailed documentation of procedures and results.

Ability to interpret electronic schematics, including inputs, outputs and operation.

Proficiency in operation of basic laboratory analysis and test equipment.

Mechanical assembly and soldering skills in electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD) environment.

Test automation knowledge

Process-oriented with a passion for driving continuous improvement

Must be analytical, able to deal with large data sets and a have high attention to detail

Computer: Proficient computer skills with MS office software applications and the ability to use basic data analysis tools.

Team friendly, and approachable. A sense of humor!

Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred Skills and Talents
-
Experience with a regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defense, Medical or Data Storage.

Experience working in an FAA certified repair station
-
Experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 based Quality Management System.

Experience using an ERP system in a production setting
-
Familiarity with Agile PLM for data documentation in Problem Reports/Nonconformances, Corrective Action Request, Engineering Change Requests preferred.

JSTD and IPCA certifications
