As a Contract Risk Manager, you will support our global commercial team by managing complex agreements, mitigating contractual risks, and ensuring a strong risk‑reward balance. You will lead contract negotiations, guide cross‑functional teams, and provide key contractual support throughout the project lifecycle to help secure new business and protect project profitability.

As a Contract Risk Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving contract excellence by negotiating, drafting, and managing complex commercial agreements with a balanced risk/reward approach.

  • Overseeing contracts from initiation to delivery, ensuring smooth handover and effective administration.

  • Redlining and negotiating agreements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver optimized customer solutions.

  • Identifying and mitigating contractual risks and coordinating multi‑stakeholder engagement, including presenting strategies to leadership.

  • Ensuring compliance with commercial risk procedures and providing clear contract interpretation and customer interaction support.

  • Leading proposal and contract activities, liaising with internal functions, and championing lean practices and digital tools for continuous improvement.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Holding a bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or Supply Chain while demonstrating strong expertise in redlining, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial contracts under German and UK law.

  • Managing commercial contracts and complex tenders in corporate or law‑firm environments, preferably within high‑tech industries such as NDT, Aerospace, Electronics, Automotive, Energy, and Renewables.

  • Collaborating effectively across cross‑functional and cross‑cultural teams within global‑matrix organizations while driving outcomes and taking ownership

  • Managing multiple commercial opportunities to successful completion while building trusted customer relationships, solving problems independently, and maintaining a never‑give‑up attitude.

  • Communicating fluently in German and English (oral and written), showcasing strong storytelling skills, and being willing to travel as needed.

  • Utilizing Opportunity & Risk tools (e.g., Deal Machine), the Office 365 Suite, and CLM platforms such as DocuSign, Icertis, and Conga.
