Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) is seeking a compassionate, experienced Board-Certified Dermatologist to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team as a contracted specialist. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality dermatologic care while making a lasting impact on the health and wellness of the Puyallup Tribal community and other Indigenous patients and families we proudly serve. 

What You’ll Do:

The Contract Dermatologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation for patients with skin, hair, and nail conditions. Working closely with our primary care team, you will help improve access to specialty dermatologic services within our community-based ambulatory health center.

This flexible contract position averages 4-6 hours per week in direct patient care, with occasional opportunities (approximately 1-2 hours) to provide educational didactic presentations for our Family Medicine Residency Program and other healthcare learners.

What You Bring:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and current WA State Pharmacist license and must meet one of the below requirements:
  • Completion of an ambulatory practice pharmacy residency program
  • -OR- (2) years of clinical ambulatory experience
  • -OR- (10) years of pharmacy practice experience

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution 
  • Current Washington State physician license, or ability to obtain prior to contract start 
  • Successful completion of an accredited Dermatology Residency 
  • Board Certified in Dermatology 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of dermatology practice experience 
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and/or ALSO certification, as applicable 
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems

Skills Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Current Washington State physician license, or ability to obtain prior to contract start
  • Successful completion of an accredited Dermatology Residency
  • Board Certified in Dermatology
