We are seeking a Contract Coordinator to join a talented group of professionals in Ocoee, FL supporting the Florida Department of Transportation in delivering major transportation improvement projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Oversees accounting functions for significant project or program, coordinating and collaborating with the client, subconsultants, project/program managers and administrators, and leadership.

  • Brings significant experience and expertise to unique and complex client billing requirements and corresponding internal processes.

  • Monitors compliance with contract terms and subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.

  • Prepares project financial reports, cash flow analyses, and budgets.

  • Reviews labor and expense charges posted to the projects and request necessary corrections.

  • Supports finance staff with client billings, reviews draft invoices received from finance, distributes draft invoices to Project Managers, and assists with invoice entry in CITS (FDOT’s billing system).

  • Monitors and reviews subconsultant and vendor invoices, and resolves payment and project disputes, in conjunction with leadership.

  • Supports the development of annual Task Work Orders and budget estimates.

  • Prepares project financial forecasts, reviews monthly and updates as necessary.

  • Coordinates any new staff additions to the program, establishes proper job classification and rate information and coordinates concurrence from the client.

  • Provides assistance and support to Supervisor and project/program staff as needed.

What will you contribute?  

  • Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related field, plus minimum 6 years relevant experience.

  • Without Bachelor's degree, additional 10 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required to interact effectively with internal managers, subconsultants, project/program administrators, and client. Must have good analytical ability and technical skills. Must have good to excellent competency with MS Office, large business accounting systems, and support systems
