We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SLED Contract Capture Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, business growth, and sales within the state and local government and education industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of driving sales and managing complex contracts.

Job Description:

As a Capture Manager at Lexmark, you will play a pivotal role in managing and driving the contracts for public sector opportunities. You will be responsible for maintaining key relationships, coordinating internal teams, and ensuring effective communication and risk management throughout each pursuit. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts with state and local government and education purchasing vehicles. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and manage contract renewals and amendments.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Identify and pursue contractual paths to market opportunities within the SLED market. Work with our direct sales team as well as our channel partners to expand our new business strategy, including training channel partners on contract execution and requirements. 
  • Business Development: Collaborate on growth initiatives and potential opportunities to enhance the SLED program. 
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the state and local government and education sectors. Act as the primary point of contact for procurement partners, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the SLED industry. Provide insights and recommendations to inform business strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, ecommerce, pricing and the proposal team, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, contract status, and market trends to senior management. 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred minimum of 6 years of experience in sales, contract management, or business development within the state and local government and education industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the SLED market, including key players, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.
