Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and knowledge transfer for DMG Mori machining platforms, specifically the DMU 95 and DMU 160 machining centers, to Engineering and Operations personnel.
- Train and mentor engineering and manufacturing personnel on machine-specific programming methodologies, machining strategies, setup techniques, in-process probing, and feedback-driven machining practices.
- Develop internal capability for programming support, process development, machine utilization, and project deployment on DMG Mori platforms.
- Support the transfer of products and processes into production through application guidance, setup validation, documentation, training, and startup support.
- Share advanced knowledge of DMU machine capabilities, including automated probing, work offset management, process verification, and machine feedback systems to improve manufacturing robustness and repeatability.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer on advanced machining technologies and equipment, including Yasda and TaiyoKoki platforms, as applicable.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to establish sustainable in-house expertise and reduce reliance on external machine-specific resources.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine utilization, process reliability, and manufacturability through application of machine-specific best practices and proven deployment methodologies.
Education & Experience
- Associate's Degree, Technical Certification, or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting advanced CNC machining platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise with DMG Mori machining centers, preferably DMU 95 and DMU 160 platforms.
- Experience with advanced machining applications including multi-axis machining, machine probing systems, setup validation, and production deployment.
- Experience supporting product introduction and process transfer into manufacturing environments.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of DMG Mori machining platforms, including machine applications, machining methodologies, and deployment best practices.
- Strong understanding of machine-integrated probing, process verification, closed-loop machining, and feedback-driven process control.

Working Conditions
Position requires on-site activities within a manufacturing environment and hands-on interaction with advanced machining equipment. This is not a work-from-home position.
Work schedule will be based on project requirements and coordinated with Engineering and Manufacturing leadership.
Physical Requirements
Hands-on manufacturing environment:
- Required to frequently lift, push, and pull materials and tooling up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, bend, squat, and walk throughout the facility.
- May be required to stand and work at machining centers for extended periods.
Safety Requirements
