What we are Looking for
It’s great to join L&M Corrugated! We are experiencing a lot of growth, and we are excited to really put an emphasis on our Continuous Improvement team and grow the department. We are looking for a CI Specialist who will work closely will our Continuous Improvement Leader to analyze our processes and make suggestions on how to improve them. This person will be a part of a team that leads the charge in change management and implementation, training, and efficiency projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Working closely with every department to improve processes around the company
- Support CI and Operations teams to build standard work
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction
- Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events
- Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on L&M CI methodology
- Working to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple departments
- Work on and lead Kaizen events
- Build custom structures for process improvement / efficiency updates
- Establish and track metrics to show CI improvements
Education, Experience, and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering preferred
- 1 to 3 years in a Continuous Improvement role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to use analytical tools (Excel, MiniTab, etc.)
- Lean/CI experience with ability to articulate the importance of CI tools (Kaizen, VSM, Standard Work, problem solving, etc.)
- Influence of cross-functional teams
- An analytical mindset with a constant focus to drive improvement
- Strong Project Management skills
