Purpose:
Have you been looking for an opportunity to build the vision, strategy, tactics, and execution of a continuous improvement plan that supports the manufacturing site strategy? This role may be for you. This Leader is also a member of the plant management team collaborating with the Site Director and other leaders with an integral role in the overall management of the site.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Plant with Continuous Improvement development and deployment strategy.
- Liaison between Plant and the Headquarters Lean team for the overall program, processes, and publishing tracking reports as needed.
- Champion the problem-solving methodology to support daily management and the kaizen engine. Capture and interpret data for areas of improvement.
- Lead weekly Lean Steering team meetings to support Plant KPI’s and Total Cost Productivity goal.
- Kaizen Leader and Facilitator, as needed, for events generated from the kaizen funnel.
- Identify, train and coach the next level of kaizen leaders and facilitators.
- Develop training matrix and go forward plan for identified areas within the plant.
- Financial budgeting and expense management for the department.
- This position has direct supervisory responsibility for hourly employees within the department.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in technical or related field
- Minimum of five years in professional roles within a manufacturing facility, at the Staff level.
- Demonstrated Lean transformation experience. Proficient in the use of lean tools to include SMED, 5S and Value Stream Mapping.
- A formal Lean certification is a plus.
- Team building and talent development in a cross functional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Incumbent must possess strong diligence and the ability to effectively lead multiple simultaneous activities.
