We're looking for a strong technical writer to create public facing product documentation that is frequently our users first experience with Ascend, and represents a key pillar in driving user delight with our product and our company.

Outcomes you will drive:

  • Delight Ascend users with accurate and easy to follow documentation on how to use Ascend features.
  • Take Delight to the next level by creating an approach/process to include "tips and tricks" that give developers additional insight on how to make feature decisions.
  • Create massive docs leverage by employing innovate ways of crowdsourcing doc creation and updates.
  • Create massive support leverage by creating outstanding docs that deflect a large percentage of "How Do I" questions from developers.

What you'll do:

  • Own developer satisfaction for Ascend documentation.
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams to understand/create product documentation for new features.
  • Create process and select doc tools to facilitate crowdsourcing of docs and updates.
  • Work with other team members to determine and implement a seamless developer learning experience.

What we look for:

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Passion for teaching/helping people succeed
  • 2+ years of experience producing content for a developer audience
  • As our product is for Data Engineers, understanding these features and implementing them in order to create the documentation will benefit by the ability to code in Python and work with APIs/SDKs.
