Technical Writer, Mid
Key Role:

Write and edit te chn ical documentation, us er manuals, and training literature. Develop and contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Format and edit existing te chn ical documentation and us er manuals.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with writing te chn ical documents
• Experience with us ing Micro sof t Office
• Experience with formatting files to meet specifications, creating and finalizing acronym lists, and correcting grammar and spelling mistakes
• Knowledge of complex functions in Micro sof t Word, including managing heading styles, creation and management of headers, footers and us ing figure and table titles appropriately to populate in up-front tables
• Ability to review and edit complex te chn ical information for readability
• Ability to learn about te chn ical topics and apply knowledge to te chn ical writing efforts
• Ability to work closely with te chn ical SMEs and engineers to edit te chn ical input
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with Acrobat Pro
• Experience with Adobe FrameMaker tools
• Experience with creating and manipulating graphics us ing tools, such as Visio
• Experience with us ing and following engineering drawings and processes
• Knowledge of military standards for te chn ical manuals
