Social Platforms Editor
The Philadelphia Inquirer is looking for a creative and digitally-savvy journalist to join its Programming & Audience team, with a specific focus on increasing the reach of our journalism through social media platforms. The Programming & Audience team works on the distribution of The Inquirer's journalism and engagement initiatives with our community. The Social Platforms Editor will play a key role in getting our journalism in front of the largest possible audience and defining The Inquirer's tone and style on social media.

What You'll Do
- Help oversee publishing for The Inquirer's social media accounts, writing, scheduling and producing content across platforms like Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, and others as needed. - Maintain high levels of creativity, voice, and professionalism while sharing content across The Inquirer's social platforms.
- Develop a deep understanding of our social followers, especially their information wants and needs, to make sure interacting with our brand
in social spaces is viewed as a valued experience.
- Maintain a high level of understanding of the ever-evolving social media landscape and help decide when our team should -
and shouldn't - delve into new content distribution platforms.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of promotional rollouts for our most ambitious enterprise journalism and major projects.
- Help reporters and editors write effective headlines for social media.
- Work with our analytics department, along with reporters and editors, to examine and analyze the data behind our audience trends, with an
emphasis on social media traffic and engagement.
