E-Commerce Content Specialist

At OneSpace, E-Commerce Content Specialists work with internal team members and key client stakeholders to create and execute project plans that help clients meet and exceed their strategic e-commerce objectives. You will become a subject-matter expert in the OneSpace platforms, e-commerce content, keyword research, and retailer requirements. The role is very hands-on, working with internal teams as well as managing freelancers to complete various projects. Not only will you be responsible for managing and executing keyword research and copy creation for new and existing clients, but you will also be responsible for staying up-to-date on e-commerce retailer requirements and industry information.

While this role is based in Swansea, Illinois - located just outside of St. Louis - we offer a flexible hybrid work model, where team members are invited to come into the office or work from home most days.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the core components of client projects, including:
    • Working with Account Managers to understand client needs
    • Communicating with freelancers in a clear and concise manner
    • Reviewing and contributing to e-commerce content strategy plans
    • Identifying areas for improvement on projects and proposing appropriate solutions
    • Reviewing and approving all project copy deliverables to ensure quality standards and project expectations are met
  • Insure the right freelancers are on your project teams by identifying what their writing strengths are and their availability
  • Coach freelancers' performance throughout the lifecycle of a project via email and forums; including resolving disputes, communicating instruction changes, and providing constructive performance feedback
  • Absorb freelancer concerns and prioritize their importance; responding and making updates to projects to mitigate concerns
  • Work closely with clients as content guidelines are being gathered to ensure comprehensive instructions and guidelines are created for their project
  • Analyze and review e-commerce content and make changes as needed
  • Collaborate with clients, account teams, and other departments to create innovative content ideas that drive online conversion
  • Coordinate multiple projects at once, keeping track of all deadlines, deliverables, and associated tasks
  • Collaborate with account teams to determine internal costs and scope of project plans
  • Ensure that project issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing your account teams of any problems that may arise
  • Provide regular input on all project activity, including weekly status updates. This includes more frequent status updates when needed
  • Work with the content team and other internal team members to create ongoing OneSpace strategy and process improvements



Requirements

To win in this role you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Communication, Journalism or related field of study preferred) and a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills (working knowledge of AP style a plus)
  • Understanding of SEO and e-commerce copywriting best practices
  • Familiarity with crowdsourcing concepts and related industry trends
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; exceptional active listening skills
  • The ability to focus when under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • A passion for e-commerce, technology and innovation
