About Wallet Genius

WalletGenius is one of System1’s fastest growing lead generation sites, designed to help consumers make smart financial decisions. We create experiences with the goal of educating consumers and connecting them to leading financial brands and products that meet their needs. We are looking for a Direct Response Copywriter to help drive user acquisition and execution of making WalletGenius the top personal finance site.

This role will directly impact the growth of Wallet Genius by creating engaging direct-response advertising and email copy to bring new and existing users back to the site. You will partner with strategy and product leads to contribute to a unified effort to increase traffic on the site, and deliver results-driven content. You will work independently within the team, with autonomy to develop data-driven strategies to engage users.

Where We Are

Our Wallet Genius team is based in our Marina del Rey headquarters, however this role is available to work remotely in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New York.

The Role You Will Have

• Create persuasive, conversion-focused advertising landing pages using established direct response selling techniques.
• Research and find the best way to present our products to various target markets on different platforms.
• Prioritize multiple projects and deliver highly effective and creative work.
• Edit the work of others effectively in order to achieve the best performing copy.
• Create Digital Ads, Advertorials, Landing Pages, Assets for Native & Social Advertising, and more.
• Work closely with the media & acquisition team to create a pipeline of direct response marketing assets that will help achieve customer acquisition and revenue goals.

The Role You Will Have

• Experience producing direct response marketing assets in various forms, preferably in the auto insurance and/or personal finance sectors
• Expertise in optimizing content for the purpose of increasing revenue and successful strategies for achieving customer acquisition goals
• Experience writing for varied audiences and demographics, and using data to craft targeted ad copy
• Desire and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to achieve goals 
• Desire for ownership and direct impact on project success
