The Content Management Specialist will be primarily responsible for day-to-day content management and maintenance of the Risk Engineering internal and external SharePoint and Web pages. Working closely with other team members, the Content Management Specialist will also project manage larger scale projects, particularly those that require coordination between Technical Managers, IT team, Risk Engineering Organization (REO) Learning and Marketing. Finally, there will be opportunities to do copy editing of various reference and internal communication materials.

Our ideal candidate is a highly organized, collaborative team player. The Content Management Specialist must be able to manage multiple content platforms, as wells as projects and deadlines, build relationships with contacts across the REO and IT team and other organizations, and effectively drive projects forward reporting on progress along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on content management, maintenance, and project deployments on each of the REO internal and external content platforms including: Sharepoint Pages, the REO Customer Portal and web page on thehartford.com, REO MyAccount page and our internal IKE Content migration project.
  • Manage over 20 Internal Sharepoint sites adding new content as requested via our Content Manager tool, became the go-to expert on this platform and continuously update formatting as needed to enhance useability.
  • Maintain our Customer Portal (100's of pages) including adding new content, refining taxonomy, enhance and continuously improve the look and functionality of the landing page and lead a possible upgrade project for this vital customer interface.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing to maintain and continuously improve the formatting and functionality of the REO page that appears on HIG.com
  • Manage technical aspects of the REO My Account page collaborating with REO and IT staff coordinating continually content updates
  • Manage a large-scale project to migrate internal REO documents (approx1,000) to a corporate supported Information Knowledge Exchange (IKE) which will include copying or recreating content and appending taxonomy for future search capabilities.
  • Oversee QA testing of content on the sites
  • Manage and Report on activity metrics for all portals: SharePoint, Customer Portal, My Account and the REO page on HIG.com
  • Develop comprehensive project plans
  • Report project status, send detailed meeting notes after key meetings/milestones and track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals and to manage expectations
  • Perform copy-editing on Technical Managers' documents and various internal communications.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two to four years managing content on corporate level websites
  • One year of project management experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, Analytics platforms, and Sharepoint
  • Experience using a robust Content Management System (Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience managing a website, ideally corporate sites in the financial services industry
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills with ability to manage a range of deadlines
  • Possess project leadership capabilities, initiative and is driven by results
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, internal stakeholders and vendors, and influence course of action in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills including effective listening
  • Solid copy-editing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others and as a part of a team is a must, including:
    • Demonstrating reliability, communicating constructively and being an active listener
    • Treating others in a respectful, supportive, and professional manner
    • Exhibiting flexibility, participating as a problem-solver
    • Willingness to pitch in to help the broader team as needed
    • Willingness to ask others for their expertise and help


Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$77,280 - $115,920
