As a Content/IA Strategist at PRPL, you are able to leverage well informed brand and consumer insights into a compelling content strategy that optimizes the user experience. You actively support our creative and development teams through website and product builds, tackling responsibilities such as content inventories and audits, creating site maps, identifying page goals, crafting content priority guides and other strategic content efforts. In this role, you will map old content to new content and find opportunities to create a more fulfilling user experience for the end product. This role is a client-facing role and as such requires a natural communicator, problem-solver and someone that our clients can rely on to provide guidance.

At PRPL, our Strategy Department is made up of two separate teams: The Experience Team and the Marketing Team. Our Experience Team handles UX/IA/SEO based projects like website or product builds, while our Marketing Team handles projects like Lead Generation campaigns, Social Media, Consultation & Strategy, etc. As a Content/IA Strategist at PRPL you will be on our Experience Team.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively working with clients and project's non-dependent of their type; i.e. a product or website that is brand new, drastically changing from its current state, needing enhanced or improved from its current state, etc.
  • Collaboratively work with UX Architects and SEO strategists to build/comprimize on the best optimized solutions for clients and their users.
  • Collaboratively work with Copywriters to execute the vision for a project's content experience.
  • Generate project requirements and business goals by leading discovery sessions with stakeholders, reviewing the competitive landscape, and holding strategic brainstorming workshops with the project team.
  • Assist in user research and documentation.
  • Effectively synthesize research findings into presentation documents and decks that effectively communicate findings back to the client and project team.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and primary and secondary research on each client's industry, their competitive set, and opportunities for market distinction (or differentiation, if possible).
  • Build information architecture (IA) utilizing competitive audits, keyword planning, card sorting, and user navigation testing (e.g., site maps, screen trees, user flows, decision and content tables).
  • Develop content/data models, nomenclature and taxonomies.
  • Collaborate with designers to define functionality, content, navigation, and interaction models through page-level wireframes and flow diagrams.
  • Design and conduct usability tests to validate information architecture and interaction design.
  • Proficiency with Apple products including but not limited to Pages, Keynote and Numbers
  • Research new technologies, new services, and new tools to continually push your product knowledge and build efficiencies.
  • Actively contribute to your project teams and clients through your project deliverables to ensure project success. A self starter attitude is a must!
  • Contribute to departmental culture through collaboration in team meetings and project reviews.



Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy/IA, UX/UI strategy, and user research.
  • Experience auditing, cataloging/organizing, and strategizing the new creation, migration, consolidation, and expansion of content for large, high-profile, websites and applications.
  • Experience with tools like GatherContent, Airtable, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, and Google Analytics.
  • Proven ability to produce consistent quality in deliverables.
  • Good negotiation skills to come to workable compromises with clients and project teams.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills. Ability to present projects and project status to clients, the team, and leadership.
  • Strong organization and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize research findings into common themes.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
