About the job

The Hardware and Retail Marketing organization is responsible for driving the growth of Google's hardware brands, including but not limited to Google Pixel, Google Home, Pixelbook, wearables and accessories. We partner with product teams to understand the user, shape the product roadmap, and bring products to market through coordinated global media campaigns. Google is committed to building radically effective experiences for customers at the intersection of hardware, software and artificial intelligence, and we're growing the team.

The Social and Content team within Devices and Services creates social and video content that is used in product and brand marketing on owned channels.

As a Content Strategist, you will manage evergreen marketing campaigns while working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and creative environment. You will strategically build global video assets and global toolkits optimized for various channels that show the helpfulness of our products. You'll also drive efficient demand and placement of those assets.

In this role, you will manage content strategy development for our suite of products to inform what, how, where, and when we go to market by partnering closely with Product Marketing Managers, Channel Owners, and internal Creative and Production teams to bring this work to life. You'll also write briefs that are insights driven to inspire marketing themes, concepts, and go-to-market plans. Additionally, you'll partner with Channel Owners and Analytics, Media, and Creative teams to monitor content performance and integrate learnings while ensuring that brand content is constantly optimized.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Manage measurement and optimization and global integrated consumer marketing strategy, creative concepts and messaging, marketing assets and toolkits, and go-to-market activation.
  • Develop video content for Devices and Services products based on global insights that fit the overall strategy.
  • Understand the user and develop high quality marketing strategies across all channels.
  • Work closely with creative media agencies and local and cross-functional teams to develop and launch effective evergreen marketing.
  • Market content and tell compelling stories.
