About the Role

Pawp is looking for a Content Manager based in New York to help grow organic content channels, assist in reporter outreach, write product marketing copy, and edit articles for the Pawp blog. In this role, you will work closely with our Head of Content as well as a stable of freelancers to ensure that we are publishing consistently researched and helpful pet content for both social and SEO channels as well as optimizing user experience across the site. We are looking for candidates with excellent writing skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to use data and analytics to guide content strategy. We value people who have a good sense of humor, a love for pets, and who can handle editing that deals in equal parts research and empathy.

What You’ll Do

• Assign stories to freelancers
• Recruit more freelancers
• Edit stories & proof for publish
• Perform regular reporter outreach
• Write when necessary
• Help update messaging and landing pages
• Help keep older posts updated
• Aid in long-term cross platform content strategy
• Keep up to date with SEO best practices

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience writing/editing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A balance of creative and analytical approaches
• SEO knowledge
• A love of pets!

• Experience in the pet space
• Experience in healthcare
