The AssessmentContent Producer is responsible for managing the production experience for Pluralsight authors (our content creators). Content Producers work to achieve key production metrics for speed, quality, and learning effectiveness. They support authors in achieving Pluralsight's high grammar, writing, and test standards in order to publish assessment content that is available even before the learner needs it. The Content Producer does all these things with our global learners top of mind to help our authors understand how each step creates value for the learner and the buyer. To excel in this role, you should have solid experience in project and time management, relationship management, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.

What you'll own:

  • Focusing on the learner - while this role works directly with the authors, both internal and external, the learner is always prioritized when making any decision
  • Educating a variety of authors in assessment, writing, and technical editing standards; communicating how standards support learning efficacy for a global audience
  • Managing the production process and schedule for multiple authors during content creation, ensuring that quality content is delivered effectively and efficiently to drive on-time publication and publication goals
  • Proactively influencing and addressing risks and changes to minimize large-scale issues
  • Onboarding new or returning authors to the authoring process, standards, and tools (Contracts, Style Guide, Bloom's Taxonomy, Assessment Tools)
  • Identifying, sourcing, hiring, and developing and maintaining relationships with professional groups, associations, special interest groups, or networks of technical professionals that can contribute to test development and maintenance
  • Negotiating financial terms with assessment authors
  • Troubleshooting author recording setups and tooling issues
  • Reviewing submitted materials for quality compliance and providing authors with constructive feedback to help them improve
  • Coordinating contract extensions or cancellations with the Skills Domain team; surfacing quality and delivery concerns as needed
  • Coordinating curriculum scope changes with Curriculum leadership
  • Coordinating publication to Pluralsight.com, which includes performing final edits, reviewing authors' changes, content details, and assets prior to publication
  • Monitoring customer feedback, customer support tickets, and making updates to published content
  • Executing and providing input to production strategy using data-driven insights
  • Help design the continued evolution of the author experience; using data to measure impact
  • Enhance Pluralsight's relationship with authors through on-going engagement (training, Slack, presentations, etc.)
  • Leading and collaborating on special projects related to improving processes and workflows that align with the company's strategy
  • Create assets and resources for the team to drive efficiency
  • Communicating effectively with a customer service approach and de-escalate difficult conversations
  • Helping to identify and troubleshoot tooling issues
  • Leading individual-level OKRs and contributing to achieving team OKRs
  • Lead the training of new team members


Experience you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in training, development, or a related field is desired
  • Strong knowledge of the following:
    • Training and development
    • Instructional design
    • Technical content
    • Excel
  • Excellent professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects, preferably with remote resources
  • Excellent relationship management, conflict resolution, and deadline management skills
  • Comfortable with basic statistical concepts
  • Experience in customer service
  • 3-5 years of experience in production, project management, or a related area
