About The Rush
The Rush is a surf travel booking platform connecting surfers with vetted local guides, coaches, photographers and experiences across Portugal. Think of us as the trusted insider who brings you in properly - 100+ handpicked providers, everything in one place, at the same price as booking direct.
Our platform launches this month. The content machine is built and ready - we just need someone to run it.
About the role
The strategy is done. The brand is built. The production system is live - a full content calendar with detailed briefs for every single post, and a library of 14,000+ indexed and tagged surf images and videos across seven destinations in Portugal.
You take those briefs and make them real. Edit the reels. Add the overlays. Write the captions. Schedule and publish. Four posts a week across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook - real content, real audience, from day one.
This is a role you can grow into and make your own. We are a small, agile team that is about to move from start-up into scale. We believe in building people up, not burning them out. The person who nails this becomes an integral part of how The Rush makes noise in the world - and there is a clear path to a paid role as the platform grows.
What could be cooler than running content for a surf company - editing reels shot at Nazaré, directing the CEO on camera, and helping build something from the ground up?
What you will be doing
- Edit short-form reels in CapCut from detailed production briefs - 15-30 seconds, 9:16 vertical
- Add text overlays, music and transitions per brief specifications
- Write platform-adapted captions for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Schedule and publish across all three platforms via Metricool
- Run the Stories companion sequence alongside each feed post
- Direct and film Ben for founder content - you will be behind the camera as much as in front of a screen
- QA every post before it goes live - nothing publishes without a check
- Grow into the role - there is room here for someone who wants to own it
What we are looking for
- UK-based
- Comfortable editing short-form video - CapCut or equivalent
- Strong feel for social content - you know when something looks right
- Organised and self-directed - you can work from a brief without handholding
- Surfs, or deeply gets surf culture - this matters, you need to feel it
- Available roughly 15-20 hours per week
What you get
- Hands-on experience producing real content for a live, growing brand - not mock briefs
- Direct mentorship from Ben Kadory (CEO)
- A front-row seat to a surf travel platform launching and scaling in real time
- Genuine immersion in surf culture, content and the business behind it
- A clear path to a paid role - this is not a dead-end internship
