Turn Complex Questions Into Answers Our Neighbors Can Trust.

At etrailer, great content isn't created just to attract visitors. It's created to help people understand products, solve problems, and make confident decisions.

As a Content Marketing Writer, you'll research real questions about trailers, towing, RVs, and the products that support our neighbors' journeys, then turn what you learn into clear, useful content. You'll have access to something most writers don't: the products themselves and the people who know them best. Product experts, technicians, neighbor conversations, product reviews, hands-on training, and search insights will all help you get beyond surface-level research and create content grounded in real expertise.

Curiosity makes great content better.

You won't be expected to know everything on day one. You will be expected to ask good questions, investigate unfamiliar topics, verify what you learn, and develop enough understanding to explain it clearly to someone else. You'll also use modern tools, including AI-assisted tools, to support your work while maintaining ownership of the accuracy, judgment, originality, and quality of everything you publish.

What You Will Do
  • Research, write, revise, and publish long-form content that answers real neighbor questions and helps people make informed decisions.
  • Create how-to articles, FAQs, buying guides, comparisons, and product-focused content that makes complicated information easier to understand.
  • Find new content opportunities through search behavior, neighbor questions, product needs, seasonal demand, and business priorities.
  • Learn directly from products and internal experts through hands-on training, product reviews, technician knowledge, and other resources.
  • Research and verify technical claims so published content is accurate, trustworthy, and genuinely useful.
  • Collaborate with Product, SEO, and Marketing teammates while using performance insights and changing search behavior to improve your work.
  • Own multiple pieces of content from idea through publication, meeting deadlines, responding to feedback, and having some fun learning about products you may never have encountered before.
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • You can take complicated information and turn it into writing that's clear, organized, engaging, and useful.
  • You care about understanding a subject before trying to explain it.
  • You're comfortable asking questions, finding credible sources, and recognizing when you need an expert's perspective.
  • You think about the person behind the search and what they're actually trying to understand, decide, or accomplish.
  • You welcome direct editorial feedback and can turn it into stronger work without becoming overly attached to your first draft.
  • You manage deadlines and multiple projects well while maintaining attention to detail and final quality.
  • You see AI as a tool—not a substitute for research, critical thinking, originality, or good writing.
Who This Role Is For

This role is for a writer who wants to know what they're talking about.

If you'd rather understand how a product works than rewrite what's already been said about it, you'll fit well here. You'll get opportunities to investigate unfamiliar topics, work with people who have deep product expertise, and develop your own knowledge across a wide range of technical subjects.

You don't need to arrive as an expert in trailers, towing, or RVs. What matters is your ability to become knowledgeable enough to turn complicated information into guidance another person can actually use.

Professional experience in content marketing, journalism, technical communication, ecommerce, product education, or another writing-focused field is valuable. We're especially interested in writing samples that demonstrate clear thinking, strong organization, and an ability to explain something complicated with a real reader in mind.

Benefits

etrailer offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and more.

You'll also have opportunities for hands-on product learning, collaboration with subject-matter experts, and continued development as search, AI, and digital content continue to evolve.

Ready to Turn Curiosity Into Useful Content?

If you want to do more than produce content and are excited by the opportunity to research deeply, learn continuously, and create resources that genuinely help people make better decisions, we'd love to see what you can do.

Please include relevant writing samples or a portfolio with your application.

What We Do

etrailer.com is the world's leading online retailer of custom-fit towing accessories. Our company dates back to 1946 when we were founded by Henry Bross as a small family business. First an R.V. park and then a service station with the intention of serving the local neighborhood, a need for quality parts and accessories at an affordable price quickly became apparent. The company began growing to serve an ever-larger market, and in 1976 we constructed a massive new showroom, warehouse, and installation facility that quickly became a regional destination. Customers began traveling from all of the surrounding states to get the supplies they needed and were unable to find locally, or for a fair price. We carry thousands of vehicle accessories such as custom-fit trailer hitches for over 3,100 different vehicles, performance chips, heavy-duty towing supplies, trailer parts, bike racks, cargo carriers, step bars, tonneau covers, lights, car covers, RV supplies, floor mats, and much more, to help you make your vehicle more useful and more fun. Our decades of experience and enormous buying power ensure that you will get quality parts, and excellent service, at the lowest price possible.
