We are seeking an experienced and growth-oriented Content Marketing Strategist to help develop content strategy and assets for campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies, the function and distribution of content throughout the customer journey including GEO/AEO, and the ability to partner with stakeholders to craft compelling content campaigns that resonate with our target audiences.
This role requires exceptional writing and communication skills, with an emphasis on explaining complex concepts and data-driven storytelling. Also valuable: experience in B2B marketing and a blend of strategic thinking, project management skills, and a results-driven approach to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. Preference will be given to candidates with prior insurance experience and/or experience writing and structuring website content.
This role will reside in Jersey City, NJ and report to the Director, Content Marketing. The role works in the office 2 days/week (increasing to 3 days/week in 2027).
Responsibilities- Create high-quality content across various formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, email campaigns, newsletters, and social media content.
- Serve as a trusted content knowledge expert for assigned business areas, developing deep fluency in Verisk’s industries, product lines, and value propositions—translating that expertise into content that resonates with target audiences and drives measurable outcomes.
- Partner with internal teams to develop high quality, customer-focused digital content, including persuasive copy for microsites, product pages, and landing pages.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to identify key messages and value propositions to be communicated through content, and content marketing tactics to drive quarterly campaigns.
- Champion and follow best practices for the team based on your understanding of AI tools, SEO/GEO, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement.
- In collaboration with the team, recommend and develop communications to support sales, marketing, investor relations, and corporate objectives.
- Help manage Verisk-wide tools and guidelines for Verisk tone, style, and voice across all brand content.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging content marketing technologies/tools.
- Help establish KPIs and best practices for measuring and analyzing content performance to assess effectiveness and ROI.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment focused on the insurance industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content marketing campaigns that have driven growth and engagement.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Strong understanding of content strategy, copywriting, content analytics, and digital marketing best practices.
- Familiarity with content management systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
