Location: In-office, Vancouver
Company: Treewalk
Treewalk is not a traditional accounting firm. We work with ambitious founders and operators who want clarity, momentum, and leverage — not just clean books. Our work sits at the intersection of accounting, strategy, and execution, and our content reflects that positioning.
We use content to think in public, challenge conventional wisdom, and attract the right clients and talent. This role exists to turn ideas, insights, and real client work into high-quality content that compounds over time.
The Role
We’re looking for a Content Marketer who can own content creation end-to-end — from raw idea to published asset — across multiple formats and channels.
This is a hands-on, in-office role. You will be working closely with leadership, sitting in on conversations, extracting insights, and turning them into clear, compelling content. This is not a “wait for briefs” role. We want someone who can spot angles, propose ideas, and execute independently.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Creating original content across formats, including:
- Long-form written content (articles, essays, LinkedIn posts)
- Short-form social content
- Email newsletters
- Light video or audio-derived content (repurposing transcripts, clips, etc.)
- Turning internal thinking, conversations, and client work into publishable content
- Managing the content pipeline from idea → draft → edit → publish
- Maintaining a consistent Treewalk voice: clear, thoughtful, practical, and slightly contrarian
- Collaborating with leadership to refine positioning and messaging
- Continuously improving content quality, clarity, and effectiveness over time
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need an accounting background, but you do need strong judgment and taste.
We’re looking for someone who demonstrates:
- Excellent written communication skills — clarity beats cleverness
- Strong editing instincts and attention to detail
- The ability to take rough ideas and shape them into finished work
- Comfort working with ambiguity and minimal structure
- High agency — you see what needs to be done and do it
- A builder mentality — you care about creating assets that last, not just hitting deadlines
- Comfort with modern tools (content platforms, basic AI tools, workflows)
Experience in B2B, professional services, startups, or founder-led businesses is a strong plus.
How You’ll Work
- In-office, Vancouver (this is important — collaboration and proximity matter here)
- Direct access to leadership and decision-makers
- High trust, high accountability environment
- Focus on quality and leverage, not content volume for its own sake
Benefits
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a social media scheduler role.
This is not a copy-and-paste marketing position.
You’ll be shaping how Treewalk thinks in public — and helping define how the firm is perceived by founders, operators, and future team members.
If you enjoy turning complex ideas into clear writing, taking ownership of your work, and building something that compounds over time, this role will suit you.
Salary: $70,000

What We Do
Treewalk is an advisory practice specializing in audit preparation, financial reporting, and outsourced accounting services.
We are one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in Canada. We have an anti-firm culture - think tech startup, but accounting. We’re ditching the traditional top-down management hierarchy approach and are leaning into a holacratic system of organizational governance. We are on a journey to become the go-to training place for accountants of all levels who want to work in industry. Our accounting practice started with a specialization in assisting public companies with their financial reporting and accounting needs. When it comes to clients, we are industry-agnostic. We never shy away from clients in new and emergent industries, and we’ve worked with companies in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, cannabis, mining, and biotechnology, to name a few. We’ve got a lot on the go, and as far as we’re concerned, the only barrier to reaching our goals is finding exceptional talent to keep building out our team.
