Summary Generated by Built In

We are looking for a Content Intern to write our newsletter, WhatsApp campaigns, case studies, website content and social posts, telling the stories of the babies, parents and health workers our products reach.

We have real stories from real hospitals across India and around the world, and most of them have never been written down. Your job is to go and get them, and then tell them well.

What You'll Do

  • Write and send our newsletter, from angle to draft to final send.
  • Write our WhatsApp campaigns to doctors, hospitals and parents, keeping them short, useful and not spammy.
  • Interview clinicians, nurses, health workers and parents, and turn those conversations into case studies.
  • Write and post on Reddit and LinkedIn, and test TikTok, carrying the evidence as well as the emotion. Instagram is handled separately, so this role focuses on the channels we have not yet built.
  • Build community: find and take part in the parent, preterm and neonatal-care conversations already happening online, and give useful answers rather than promotion.
  • Write content for our website aimed at parents of newborn and premature babies, covering the questions they actually search for.
  • Turn our clinical studies and field data into language a parent or a nurse can actually use.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar so we publish consistently rather than in bursts.
  • Keep a running library of stories, quotes and photographs we can draw on.

Requirements

  • A strong writer. Please send two or three samples of your own writing with your application; a blog, a college publication, a newsletter or a personal essay is fine.
  • A curious interviewer, able to put a busy doctor or a nervous parent at ease and get past the first obvious answer.
  • Clear, plain English. We prefer a simple sentence to an impressive one.
  • Enough judgement to handle sensitive stories about newborns and families with care and consent.
  • Comfortable posting in public as a brand: familiar with how Reddit communities work and what gets removed, and willing to learn LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Organised enough to hit a publishing schedule.
  • Currently studying or recently graduated in journalism, communications, literature, public health, or any discipline where you learned to write.
  • Available for a 6-month full-time paid internship in Bangalore.

Benefits

  • A paid internship with a monthly stipend.
  • A byline and a portfolio of published work by the end of the internship.
  • Access to genuinely moving material: real families, real clinicians, real outcomes.
  • Mentorship from BEMPU's founder and marketing team.

Start Date: As soon as possible.
