The Content Delivery Manager is responsible for leading a large team of full-time and freelance writers to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery. This role works closely with Editorial Managers (News) to optimize writer performance, manage freelance invoicing, and monitor outsourced content spend. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong team management skills, and can work efficiently across multiple projects and deadlines. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Head of Content Delivery to achieve squad goals.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of full-time writers and a pool of freelance writers. 
  • Provide regular feedback to full-time writers in collaboration with Editorial Managers to improve performance and content quality. 
  • Act as the first approver for freelance writer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline invoice processes and maintain clear records. 
  • Track and report outsource content spend by brand and squad monthly. 
  • Provide insights on budget utilization and make recommendations for optimizing outsourced content costs. 
  • Assist Editorial Managers with content brief creation as needed, ensuring briefs are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with content strategy goals. 
  • Work closely with the Head of Content Delivery to ensure that content production deadlines are met across the team. 
  • Monitor project timelines and address any delays or bottlenecks in the content production process.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Design, and Product to align content production with overall business goals.
  • Communicate updates on content production schedules, freelance resource management, and budgetary concerns to the Head of Content Delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Content Delivery.

Leadership and team management responsibilities:

  • Managing team performance effectively through the practicing of ongoing performance management, including conducting performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings
  • Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible Catena ambassador
  • Being approachable and available to the direct team and other stakeholders 
  • Communicating effectively and ensures information is delivered in a clear and timely manner
  • Taking ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HRBP and TA teams 
  • Enabling team and individual growth from induction stage to ongoing learning and development

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:


  • A Content Delivery Manager must have a minimum of three years of experience in editing and writing and two- or four-year college degree. 

  • Other qualifications include:
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including knowledge of AP style.
  • Comfortable working quickly under deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Past experience writing about the gaming industry and sports betting or online casino is preferred.
  • Experience working in WordPress or the ability to learn a new CMS quickly is preferred.

Working Conditions: 


This position is 100% remote. Must be available during regular business hours in your evening and weekend work on occasion. Must possess a stable, high-speed internet and working cellular telephone. Must be able to routinely perform indoor work with minimum noise levels. Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on your own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence, naturally or electronically and may include adaptive aids. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate the highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and a fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising the highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.


Physical Requirements: 


Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 8 hours per day. At times, occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities, as may be occasionally asked to travel to sites or events. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
