We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Container Platform Engineer to join our UniQue CIET team, part of our Professional Services Department.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, implementing, and maintaining container-based infrastructure environments. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient containerized environments using products such as Openshift , Docker and Kubernetes.
For the Container Platform Engineer role we expect you to:
- Install, deploy, and manage OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with development teams to support containerized deployments using OpenShift.
- Monitor and troubleshoot OpenShift/Kubernetes environments, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement security best practices for containerized applications and manage user access control and permissions within OpenShift.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to incorporate security policies and procedures into the OpenShift platform.
- Document OpenShift configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring that best practices are followed.
- Manage container orchestration platforms and ensure high availability.
- Support disaster recovery and backup strategies for containerized systems.
Requirements

- A University/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or other containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and its application within OpenShift for orchestration and management of containerized applications
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure) and integrating them with OpenShift/ Kubernetes
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and innovative team environment
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Knowledge of container security best practices
- Knowledge of digital certificates (self-signed , PKI , trusted authorites)
