JOB SUMMARY:
Support payables processing and management, point of contact with internal and external stakeholders for resolution of payables concerns
Individual Contributor - processing of payables among assigned suppliers and vendors, support of analyses, reporting and entries as designated by A/P Supervisor
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Daily processing of invoices, ensuring compliance with assigned department metrics for processing throughputs and KPIs.
- Daily revision of supplier/vendor account statements to maintain current account status.
- Month-end analysis and Journal Entries per A/P Supervisor’s direction
- Month-end closing tasks assigned at A/P Supervisor’s direction.
- Prepare and publish accounting documentation within accounting system (ERP) such as invoices, debit, and credit memos and Intercompany Invoices
- Archive supporting documents and process attendance (e.g. invoices, checks, receipts, memos) within ERP and as needed for MX and US business units as company required.
- General support in accounting tasks (ex. Account reconciliations, Journal entries for Accruals and prepayments) in different systems other than the ERP
EDUCATION:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field a differential.
EXPERIENCE:
- One or more years of experience in accounting desired, especially within Accounts Payable or A/P-adjacent roles within a manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum English 70%
- Accounting knowledge
