At Logistics Reply, we are hiring a Junior Backend Engineer. She/he will be a key member of the team building our next-generation Dedicated Automation Layer. This is a unique opportunity to grow skills by working on a complex, real-world microservices project.
Under the mentorship of our senior engineers, she/he will contribute to developing, testing, and deploying the software that orchestrates our fleet of autonomous vehicles. She/he will be challenged to learn and apply modern software engineering practices in an industrial automation setting
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features within specific microservices under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Write high-quality unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of our software.
- Assist in the development of REST APIs and data models.
- Debug and resolve issues in existing code, contributing to the stability of the platform.
- Collaborate with the team on technical design and problem-solving.
- Contribute to technical documentation to ensure our systems are well-understood and maintainable
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Java: Solid understanding of Java (17+) and object-oriented programming principles.
- Spring & Spring Boot: Foundational knowledge of building applications with Spring Boot, including creating REST controllers and using Spring Data JPA.
- Testing: Experience writing unit tests with frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
- Databases: Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git for source code management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with microservice concepts and architectures.
- Exposure to message brokers (e.g., NATS).
- Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
