Job Description

Job Summary

Works with business partners to produce actionable analytic strategies to deliver business insights and accomplish business objectives. Provides analytics and performance reporting that drive business priorities for internal partners in the Consumer Banking lines of business. Prioritizes, analyzes, and documents business processes. Identifies opportunities for improvement/enhancement, and negotiate agreements and commitments between business partners from requirements gathering to the final implementation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic partner to various business areas, providing sound analytical evaluation of business concepts. Provides quantitative and qualitative reporting and analysis for data driven business decisions.
  • Receives and evaluates ideas and processes; conducts research and partners with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to fully analyze the cost benefits of each submission coupled with proposed recommendation.
  • Performs ad hoc statistical analysis, including profiling/forecasting models, utilizing data from multiple internal and external sources. Produces summarized information showing key performance indicators, identifying the root cause of challenges and addressing business questions. Provides actionable recommendations to drive improvements in current processes.
  • Delivers analytic results as documented in timelines negotiated with associates and provides progress updates as appropriate. Effectively communicates results, providing business strategy recommendations for optimizing business performance.
  • Uses analytics and metrics to recommend and implement improvements to internal processes. Maintains thorough documentation for all processes.
  • Monitors and tracks the progress, changes, and results of implementations realized by stated initiative/project; monitors revenue growth/loss resulting from pricing and expansion strategies.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline and/or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum experience:

  • Two or more years of hands-on data wrangling, reporting, analytics, and data programming

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Experience with SQL and extracting data from relational databases
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Professional technical writing ability for documenting analytical results and processes
  • Developing skills in data visualization and presentation and ability to translate outcomes into business opportunities
  • Ability to engage with non-technical clients, understand business needs and opportunities, and communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building and communication

Additional Information

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • MS in Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field
