A Brief Overview
The Consumer Sales Representative (CSR) is responsible for generating new residential sales, managing inbound inquiries, and engaging in proactive outbound calling to expand RIVR Tech's customer base. This position directly contributes to company revenue by meeting monthly sales quotas across multiple product lines including Internet, VoIP, and managed Wi-Fi services (such as ProtectIQ, ExperienceIQ, and RIVR Tech Wi-Fi Pro). The CSR is the first point of contact for many customers and plays a critical role in representing RIVR Tech's commitment to local service, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
What you will do
• Serve as the primary point of contact for residential customers regarding service availability, pricing, and
promotions.
• Identify and pursue residential sales opportunities within service areas, events, or through
inbound/outbound contacts.
• Present and promote service bundles, promotions and add-on services such as ProtectIQ, ExperienceIQ,
and managed Wi-Fi Pro to prospective customers.
• Convert leads into sales by clearly explaining service benefits, costs, installation processes, and contract
terms.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer records and sales activities in CRM systems.
• Represent the company at community-based marketing events, local fairs, and outreach to strengthen
brand awareness.
• Execute customer retention campaigns by engaging customers nearing contract expiration or requesting
cancellation.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas for new activations, upgrades, and VoIP services each month.
• Coordinate with installation and Field Operations to ensure a smooth transition from sale to activation.
• Conduct post-sale follow-up calls to confirm satisfaction and encourage referrals.
• Collect and share customer insights to help shape product offerings and promotions.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma Required
• Associate's Degree Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related
field Preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
duties of the job
• 1-3 years Experience in sales or telecommunications. Preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and active listening skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, VoIP and mobile devices.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet performance goals.
• Proven organizational and analytical skills. Able to organize and prioritize multiple projects
simultaneously
• Driver License Preferred
