Full Time Consumer Loan Processor – Consumer and Home Equity Loans

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process consumer loan applications, in an efficient manner, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Evaluate and verify borrower information, credit reports, and supporting documents
- Prepare and submit loan packages for approval, adhering to credit union policies and procedures
- Process home equity loan applications, including documentation review and compliance checks
- Communicate with members when needed to gather additional information and provide updates on application status
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and ensure timely processing
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting when needed to facilitate efficient smooth loan approval and funding processes
- Stay informed about lending policies, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in consumer lending and home equity loan processing preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in finance or related field is a plus
