Position is eligible for telecommuting; however candidate must reside in PA or OH.
Day to day responsibilities involve advising new and existing clients, quoting and selling new business policies, providing a high level of service to existing customers, cross-selling accounts into additional lines of coverage and preparing customers for renewal. The role combines elements of sales, customer service and advisement in the consumer services space within our Property/Casualty division.
Essential Job Responsibilities__________________________________
1. Generate new business – including but not limited to pre-qualifying, underwriting, marketing,
quoting, application completion and binding coverage.
2. Actively prospect for new clients and promote insurance products to meet sales targets.
3. Receive, document, and process all insured requests for service (changes, auto ID, quotes, etc.).
4. Round out existing accounts by proactively selling additional personal lines coverages or policies. Initiate contact with current clients, including outbound calls, email and written correspondence to recommend and sell additional lines of coverage as appropriate.
5. Answer client’s questions related to their coverages or policy status, manage client accounts, and ensure all deadlines are met by conducting in-depth consultations with clients to understand their insurance needs and risk tolerance.
6. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and customer service.
7. Review, document, and process all carrier requests.
8. Maintain client files accurately and consistently to agency standards.
9. Provide quality service supporting personal lines clients and accounts; serve as primary contact for existing clients and assigned book of business.
10. Adhere to agency service standards and workflows.
11. When necessary, be available to support teammates and other areas of the agency as needed.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications___________________________
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and/or or equivalent experience is preferred
2. Work Related Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years related experience in Personal Lines
3. Technical Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office products is required
4. Experience working with EPIC Agency Management Software preferred
5. Certifications: PA Property and Casualty
6. Travel: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel periodically, required.
