Location:

  • Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX. Other cities are welcome remotely.
  • Office Options: Hybrid or Remote. Team members residing within a 45 minute commuting radius of a Clearsulting office, we expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules.

What You’ll Do:

Client Leadership & Executive Presence: Lead senior‑level relationships; translate complex intercompany issues into clear options and recommendations; design and facilitate executive workshops and steering committees to drive timely decisions and alignment.

Engagement Delivery & Governance:Own scope, plan, RAID, and change control across workstreams; run day‑to‑day delivery; proactively mitigate risks/dependencies; coordinate cut‑over and hypercare to achieve on‑time, on‑budget, in‑scope outcomes.

People Leadership (Clearsulting Team):Staff and onboard team members; set goals and expectations; provide frequent feedback and coaching; manage utilization, wellbeing, and development; uphold quality standards and review criteria.

Solution & Technical Leadership:Direct solution design for intercompany processing (transaction processing/invoicing, allocations, matching/reconciliation, netting/settlement, accounting/reporting) using BlackLine and adjacent ERP/close technologies (e.g., SAP S/4HANA/ICMR, Central Finance, PaPM, Oracle); approve configurations and test strategies for scale, control, and usability.

Functional Leadership: Define target‑state IC operating model and policies; incorporate leading practices; map end‑to‑end flows/controls; align with transfer‑pricing and indirect‑tax requirements.

Data & Integrations Oversight: Set the data strategy and quality plan; oversee interfaces, data readiness, and exception handling; manage non‑prod environments and release cadence; ensure traceable assumptions.

Commercial & Pursuit Management:Orchestrate pursuits from discovery through close—approach, estimates, staffing model, pricing, SOW/CR drafting; craft value cases and win themes; partner with account leads on pipeline and account growth.

Financial Management: Track burn, margin, and backlog; forecast revenue accurately; initiate corrective actions and CRs to protect profitability; align invoicing and revenue recognition.

Communications & Change:Create executive‑level materials, demos, and training; lead discovery/playback sessions; plan adoption and change impacts across process, systems, and people.

Assets & Practice Development:Curate reusable accelerators (dashboards, test packs, templates); contribute to domain roadmaps, collateral, and L&D; champion delivery patterns and quality standards.

AI Strategy & Enablement:Identify and prioritize AI/automation use cases within intercompany (e.g., anomaly detection, intelligent matching, auto‑reconciliation, forecasting); set guardrails and success metrics (productivity, quality), coach teams on effective prompts and patterns, and drive adoption of accelerators across engagements in line with client governance.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • BlackLine/Alteryx/Fabric Certified
  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a business-related field of study
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in consulting and collaboration with substantial, complex clients; ideally with a specialization in intercompany accounting and operational transfer price questions
  • Experience with implementation of digital transformation projects with a focus on intercompany transaction processing, intercompany allocations, transaction matching, reconciliation, accounting, and reporting processes
  • Willingness and ability to travel

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of transfer pricing strategy, intercompany agreements, and transfer pricing maintenance
  • Familiarization with implementing efficient finance processes as well as digitalization of business processes – from strategy development, concept preparation and process design to the optimization and implementation
  • Understanding of functional problems in internal and cross-border processes
  • Experience implementing capabilities in one or more of the following technologies: SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, SAP Central Finance, SAP Module FI/CO, SAP PaPM, BlackLine
  • Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles, leading practices, and execution a plus (i.e., requirements gathering, solution design and testing cycles)
  • Strong leadership skills and executive presence
  • Strong project management experience including workplan creation and updates, milestone tracking, risk management, status updates, change management, and communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; clearly convey complex business concepts to executive audience free of grammatical errors, incorporating leading practices for business writing
  • Ability to maintain and enhance the Clearsulting culture – build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues, demonstrate the Clearsulting Core Values each day

The compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $186,000. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on upon several factors, including, level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our performance-based bonus program and standard benefits offerings.
