Role: Consulting Director, Financial Close
Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.
This is a full-time role open to candidates located in Australia. We prefer candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne, but will also consider remote applicants across the country.

What You’ll Do:
- Full understanding of BlackLine (or similar financial close technologies) across various modules including implementation
- Proven track record in practice growth responsible for revenue and margin targets associated with technology implementation and finance transformation projects
- Ability to lead discussions regarding R2R technology and process in detail with seamless transition between the two
- Lead development of executive-level presentations to communicate complex issues and recommendations across processes, systems, and people
- Attention to detail in executing work products with excellent follow-through
- Full ability to manage people, develop teams, and coach more junior team members
- Effective organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities
- Consistently follow all firm policies and guidance
What You’ll Bring:
- 8–10+ years of finance management and/or transformation consulting experience at a large consulting firm
- Technical competency in Record-to-Report (R2R), including Financial Close & Consolidation, Cost Accounting, General Accounting, and/or Intercompany Accounting
- End-to-end process knowledge of R2R, including process design and optimization
- Strong leadership skills with an executive presence
- Proven project management experience: workplan development, milestone tracking, risk and change management, and stakeholder communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex business concepts to executive audiences
- Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC): requirements gathering, solution design, and testing cycles
- Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities effectively
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to foster a collaborative environment
- Commitment to Clearsulting’s culture and values, building strong client and colleague relationships
- Willingness and ability to travel
