Job Description

YOUR TASKS

As a Consultant Strategy & Transaction, you will advise private-equity backed companies and major corporates on high-impact initiatives, ranging from cost reduction and operational improvements to portfolio optimisation and buy-and-build strategies. You will leverage in-depth market insights, robust financial modelling, and strong stakeholder management to deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership teams, while being based in Munich or Frankfurt.

Look forward to diverse and challenging tasks, such as: 

  • Commercial Due Diligence: Participation in transactions, including the creation of commercial evaluations, factbooks and information memoranda 
  • Growth Strategy Development: Support and co-development of growth and Go-To-Market strategies 
  • Cost Optimization & Operational Excellence: Identify cost drivers, propose reduction measures, design new business models, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability 
  • Portfolio Strategy & M&A: Provide guidance on buy-and-build initiatives, portfolio restructuring, and post-merger integration to unlock synergies and scale effectively 
  • Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and financial evaluations to support critical strategic decisions 
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Prepare concise, board-level materials and work closely with senior executives and investors to ensure alignment on the most critical strategic objectives 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with finance, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless project execution and maximum value capture 

Qualifications

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Graduate of a top university or business school with an outstanding academic record
  • 3+ years of experience at Tier 1 or Tier 2/boutique firms
  • You have very good skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • You have affinity for software and IT-services topics (e.g., Managed Services, SaaS, etc.).
  • You have demonstrable experience in exit readiness, cost optimisation, due diligence, or post-merger integration projects.
  • You have the ability to assimilate industry insights quickly and translate them into tangible recommendations.
  • You have proven ability to build relationships at senior levels and influence decision-making with clear, concise presentations.
  • Excellent language skills in German and English
