Primary Responsibilities
- Become familiar with project(s) (objectives, scope, workflows, deadlines) at kick-off and engage with US-side team on a regular basis
- Manage project work streams as necessary; build and execute against primary and secondary research plans
- Identify key insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporate and commercial strategies
- Create and utilize analytical tools to support strategic decision making
- Develop slides or memos effectively communicating results of analyses
- Prepare material for project meetings and manage team members as required
- Regularly engage with senior internal stakeholders and effectively manage upward
- Demonstrate accountability for completion and high-quality delivery of all assigned responsibilities
- Participate in and contribute to internal initiatives including business development, knowledge management and new capabilities development
- Engage with clients regularly in various ways (e.g., weekly updates, workshops, interim / final presentations)
Desired Experience and Skills
- In-depth understanding of the US biopharma industry and healthcare ecosystem
- Understanding of clinical trial phases and its impact on strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to integrate scientific, business and industry knowledge in developing creative solutions for clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrate mature structured thinking
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solid time and people management skills; demonstrate high functioning efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work in team environment
- Proactive and entrepreneurial in spirit
- Prior experience with coaching / mentoring of junior team members
- Willingness and ability to read complex scientific material and distill key insights
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience using proprietary pharma databases
- Experience with pharma marketing analytics, valuation or forecasting/modeling is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree(s) (PhD, MBA, MS, BPharm/MPharm, MPH)
- 3-5 years of prior consulting experience OR at least 3-5 years of biopharma industry experience in roles like marketing, portfolio planning, corporate strategy or business development
- US/EU life sciences knowledge and exposure
Note: This role will involve working with the US/SF/NY teams and will entail working partial overlap hours with US time zones at least a few days every week (work timing flexibility is provided); prior demonstrated success working in such environments is a plus
