About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Consultant to support research, policy, and strategic advisory projects for government agencies, public sector organizations, and related stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and senior consultants to conduct research, engage stakeholders, develop presentations, and support project delivery.
This role offers excellent exposure to public policy, economic development, regulatory, and socio-economic projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Conduct desktop research, literature reviews, policy reviews, and benchmarking studies.
- Gather, analyse, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.
- Monitor relevant economic, social, political, and regulatory developments.
- Support the preparation of research reports, policy papers, and strategic recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in planning and conducting stakeholder interviews, focus group discussions, and consultations.
- Prepare interview guides, discussion materials, and meeting notes.
- Coordinate with government agencies, industry representatives, and other stakeholders as required.
Presentation & Reporting
- Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations, briefing materials, and client deliverables.
- Support report writing and preparation of executive summaries.
- Translate complex findings into clear and concise insights for clients.
Project Support
- Attend client meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
- Prepare meeting minutes, action trackers, and project documentation.
- Support project management activities and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
Client Interaction
- Participate in client presentations and contribute to discussions.
- Present research findings and project updates to internal teams and clients when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Political Science
- Economics
- Public Policy
- Social Sciences
- Other related disciplines
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in consulting, research, public policy, economic analysis, or related fields is an advantage.

- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Language Requirements
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written) is strongly preferred, as the role involves engagement with government agencies, stakeholders, and review of policy and regulatory documents in Bahasa Malaysia.
