Job Description
BAE Systems, is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated and proficient Mid Level Combat Systems Configuration Manager to join our team at the NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO) in Arlington, VA. The selected candidate will provide configuration management, logistics management, and programmatic support to the N-20 Combat System and Fleet Support division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all NSSMS, GMVLS, and Dutch Configuration Class I ECPs from initial receipt through contractual authorization.
- Coordinate the review of Class II ECPs, ensuring compliance with established processes.
- Critically assess all ECPs from a configuration management (CM) perspective and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure that only technically sound and well-documented changes are brought forth to the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of NSPO's hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as the Secretariat for the NSPO Configuration Control Board (CCB).
- Assist the NSPO CCB Chairman in the routine administration of the NSPO CCB.
- Organize regular and emergency meetings of the NSPO CCB, prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and directives, and manage archival records.
- Develop, document, and refine hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures specific to NSPO.
- Administer the NSPO Waypoint/Extranet environment to effectively store, track, and share ECPs, ORDALTs/SCDs, IPDNs, and CCB Directives.
- Provide comprehensive status reports to NSPO stakeholders regarding configuration management activities.
- Ensure the completeness and update of N-20 Unclassified and Classified libraries: Consortium Product Library; Releasability; N-20 DISTRO D libraries; and Classified libraries at NPAN.
- Support Fleet Engagement manager in training related topics and manage the Training Libraries. Ensure all stakeholders receive on time the updated documentation.
- Support the N-20 leadership in contractual and SEATASKs efforts. Assist in defining contract requirements for Statements of Work (SOWs), develop CDRL packages
- Assist the N-20 in preparation of the contract modifications for all phases of the program for submittal to the Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO).
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in configuration and contract management.
- Demonstrated 2-3 years experience in configuration management processes and contracts support within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Familiarity with hardware and software version control practices.
- Active Secret U.S. government security clearance.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite software products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an International team environment.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Demonstrated 3-5 years experience in a configuration management role within a defense contracting company.
- Knowledge of US Navy systems and operational requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in managing virtual environments for document storage and tracking.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
