We are seeking a Configurations Manager add their skills to our team supporting the enterprise test organization responsible for verifying and validating product visual quality, as well as the accuracy of the support data, from a variety of digital collection systems. This is an exciting and dynamic job opportunity where you will advise the organization on methods and industry best practices to further streamlining software development, testing and maintenance to improve software quality. The configuration management team ensures a standard and cost effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements. To include, but not limited to, preparing documentation, determining effect of changes to product specifications, and participating in the Request for Change (RFC) process. The incumbent establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by organization personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements.
In the role of Configuration Manager, you will

  • Establish and maintain configuration and data management policies and procedures
  • Analyze changes to product specifications to determine the effect on the end product
  • Prepare documentation necessary for change control.
  • Design and establish configuration management documentation.
  • Authorize the release of drawings, schedules and system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups through the RFC process.
  • Operate configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing.
  • Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks
  • Work with standard commercial software products used for configuration management (e.g. DOORS, JSMART, etc.)
  • May develop configuration standards for agency-wide use.
  • May train requirement engineers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of CM quality standards.
  • May provide guidance to less experienced employees.

The ideal candidate must have a proven commitment to quality with a solid understanding of configuration and data management policies and procedures, methodologies, technologies strong troubleshooting skills. The candidate is considered an emerging authority with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. The candidate works with only general direction, provides extensive technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, and independently determines and develops approach to solutions. The candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work on multiple projects both with other team members, and with little supervision and has the persistence to resolve issues.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 11-14 Years with High School
  • 5-8 Years with BS/BA
  • 3-6 Years with MS/MA


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in a related field
  • 6+ years of experience with Configuration Management processes
  • ServiceNow
  • HP Application Lifecycle Management


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
