RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the research & development, test and evaluation, fielding, documentation development, configuration management, software engineering and integration, training, fielding and sustainment, cybersecurity, and program management of Marine Corp Intelligence Information Technology (IT) systems and software baselines.
  • Leverages modern configuration, application, and life cycle management tools and processes to maintain version control for hardware, software and documentation.
  • Maintains ownership of the project’s Configuration Management Plan, facilitates Configuration Control Boards, and supports the establishment of the Configuration Management Library.
  • Provides support for planning and producing a process for reporting and recording changes to installed baseline equipment.
  • Coordinates the interaction between engineering, integration team, logistics, and program management to ensure appropriate changes are documented.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Education, or Management related field from an institution regionally accredited by one of the following:
    • Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
    • Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
    • Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
    • New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE)
    • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC)
    • Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College University Commission (WSCUC)

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in configuration management, logistics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with configuration management functions, including life cycle planning, configuration identification and control, verification and audits, and data management.
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps or Navy software release processes, baseline management, and Agile/Scrum software development practices.
  • Experience managing software and operating system configurations, including Windows and Linux baselines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO).

CLEARANCE

  • Secret Level Clearance required; can support up to TS/SCI.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience as a configuration manager supporting IT programs.
  • Prior Dept of War experience is a plus.

LOCATION

  • The work location is Charleston, SC, with 0-5% travel expected. This is an on-site position.
