Seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD) program. The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services, including survey and design through installation, security, and testing. This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across all CONUS Army installations.
We’re looking for a Configuration Management Specialist to manage and control configuration baselines supporting Army enterprise IT systems. You’ll coordinate configuration control activities, support software releases, and work closely with engineers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure systems are documented, traceable, and deployment-ready.
You’ll oversee configuration processes from requirements through deployment, support audits and change control, and help refine CM processes to support parallel development and secure system delivery.
Responsibilities

Required Experience/Qualifications
- 10+ years relevant experience (e.g., configuration management experience, preferably in a software environment)
- Experience using JIRA and Subversion
- Strong understanding of CM principles across requirements, design, and code
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to commute to the required onsite work location daily
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
- Active Secret Clearance at the time of application
- Up to 50–75% travel required, including multi-week TDY assignments.
- Availability during defined cutover windows (e.g. weekend and nights)
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Army networks
- Experience with GitLab
- Experience using Confluence
