The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Configuration and Data Management / Technical Integration Engineer to support engineering, product delivery, and data/deliverables for the P-8 Program. This BDS position reports to the P-8 Data Management Team as part of the Systems Engineering and Integration Team. This position will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.
The P-8 is a high-visibility, advanced commercial derivative military aircraft program supporting the U.S. Navy and international customers. As a Configuration and Data Management / Technical Integration Engineer, you will be regularly working and interacting with the program teams, other divisions, various customers and/or suppliers.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) activities in the support of the product baseline and delivery of the product.
  • Participate in the development, management, analysis and verification of process and product baselines including the integration, routine analysis and resolution of issues with engineering product structure.
  • Execute Item Unique Identification (IUID) tasking that includes logging, tracking, reconciliation and resolution of issues in support of the program UID Plan and the product.
  • Interact regularly with the P-8 Program Teams, suppliers, various customers and other divisions in the execution of tasking.
  • Utilize data gathered from customers and suppliers to assist in the definition of Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems.
  • Apply knowledge of basic engineering principles to help in the development and support of change proposals, change activities and integration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Engineering Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
  • Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and suppliers in support of data and product delivery.
  • Experience working/interacting with suppliers and their deliverables.
  • Engineering Product Lifecycle Management knowledge.
  • UID knowledge.

Pay Summary:
Level 2: $90,950-$123,050
Level 3: $111,350-$150,650
