THE ROLE
Key responsibilities
The Configuration Analyst is a vital role within Agilisys and this role will ensure IT environments of Agilisys and our managed services clients run smoothly by maintaining an accurate and up-to-date asset and configuration database.
Specific duties
Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following:
- Maintain and update asset records, configuration item (CI) data, and their relationships in ITSM tool's CMDB.
- Retrieve IT asset data from multiple data sources.
- Analyse data, identify inconsistencies, and anomalies in the source data and correct before loading it into the target CMDB.
- Import clean IT asset / CI data in Hornbill Service Manager CMDB and other ITSM tools ServiceNow, Support works.
- Build asset and configuration items relationships within ITSM tool.
- Regularly audit the CMDB for accuracy and generate reports to provide insights into configuration management status and performance.
- Work closely with IT support teams and 3rd party vendors to manage IT assets in ITSM CMDB.

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results while embracing change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role
The Ideal Candidate
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, particularly IT Asset Management methodology. Certified to ITIL Foundation preferable.
- Ideally a computer science graduate with a year experience.
- Demonstrate effective analytical skills
- Experience in MS Excel ie; Pivot Table and V-lookups.
- Working knowledge of SQL/Power BI.
- A good understanding in databases Data Definition Language DDL. Data Manipulation Language DML JSON scripting and data mapping.
- Understanding of asset hardware lifecycle.
- Clear, logical analytical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to investigate data, find trends, forecast performance and provide insightful recommendations.
- Good communication skills to effectively liaise with technical teams
- Able to plan, structure, and appropriately prioritise tasks.
