Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst (Junior) Opportunity

The cybersecurity industry is poised to grow by double digits again this year. Join us as we help aerospace & defense customers address DoD cybersecurity standards such as NIST SP 800-171 and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Work with InfoDefense and its customers to achieve and maintain CMMC compliance. 

A successful candidate must be self-driven with strong command of the information security discipline as well as at least three years of IT compliance, exceptional professional presence, and a desire to mentor others. This position requires a wide breadth of cybersecurity and compliance knowledge as well as a positive attitude and team-oriented business approach. Candidates must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Job Description

InfoDefense is seeking a highly talented cybersecurity compliance professional to join our team. The person hired into this position will work directly with customers, refine cybersecurity assessment methodologies, perform CMMC assessments as well as analyze and maintain CMMC compliance. 

Responsibilities

  • Assess compliance with standards such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, NIST SP 800-53. HIPAA/HITECH and ISO 27001
  • Perform CMMC information flow analysis, risk, and security assessments
  • Stay apprised of cybersecurity and compliance industry developments
  • Author and revise security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of software as a service, platform as a service and infrastructure as a service technology, including security best practices
  • Evaluate and communicate security best practices to customers
  • Demonstrate experience in ITIL (or similar) processes needed to evaluate client policies, standards and procedures related to the on-going operation, maintenance, change management. and other compliance-related activities
  • Work with project and technical management to ensure customer service objectives are identified, understood, and satisfied in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal direction
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent technical experience with a non-technical four-year college degree
  • 2+ Years of IT compliance experience
  • 3+ Years of IT career progression
  • Experience working with security frameworks and standards such as SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, CSF, and/or RMF
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and aptitude to acquire new skills quickly

Compensation

Work Location

This is a hybrid work position working part-time at home and part-time at our office in Carrollton, TX.

Travel

Some travel may be required.
