Job Description

Are you ready to unleash your full potential? We’re looking for people who are passionate about payments to chart Worldpay’s path to being the largest and most-loved payments company in the world.

About the team

The Network Compliance Oversight Team provides support and guidance to internal and external clients regarding compliance with the rules and regulations of the major payment card networks – American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. The team’s area of focus includes rules that govern the safe and responsible management and monitoring of merchants operating in high-risk sectors. The Team is part of the Legal, Compliance, and Risk organization supporting all of Worldpay globally.

What you will be doing

  • Investigating, resolving, and responding to the card networks regarding potential and confirmed violations of the card network rules within the Worldpay merchant portfolio. The majority of the investigations will center around Mastercard BRAM, Visa VIRP, and Visa TLD cases.

  • Proactively monitoring the Worldpay merchant portfolio using third party web scanning tools to identify merchants operating outside of the scope of what they were originally underwritten for or otherwise out of compliance with card network rules that govern high risk sectors

  • Working directly with the card brands to secure extensions and fine waivers on behalf of Worldpay and its merchants when warranted

  • Assist with creation and delivery of related educational material and webinars on an as needed basis to further inform Worldpay clients of the requirements and their compliance obligations

  • Research and respond to rule related inquiries from merchant clients and internal departments

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and requirements

  • Monitor and communicate rule and requirement changes that impact Worldpay and its clients

What you bring

  • Prior payments industry experience and a working knowledge of the card network compliance enforcement programs

  • Ability to manage a broad and complex range of ongoing issues, often under tight deadlines

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable making and articulating rationale for decisions made in situations that do not have a clear path forward

  • A proactive nature and a drive to seek solutions to problems that are identified

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to understand and apply technical documents and card brand reference materials

  • Ability to work across multiple teams within a global organization

Added bonus if you have

  • Prior experience with Visa VIRP and Mastercard BRAM programs

  • Prior experience using the tools of Merchant Monitoring Service Providers (MMSP)
