The Functional Compensation team is a newly formed group dedicated to advancing compensation practices in alignment with the firm's long-term goals. Sitting within the end to end Talent organization, this team partners with business-aligned compensation managers, the Talent organization, HR Product, and Data stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives across performance, talent, promotion, and compensation.
As a Senior Associate within Functional Compensation, you will support the Annual Planning cycle and its tools - ensuring requirements are clearly documented, compensation expertise is embedded in system and process decisions, and that planning outcomes reflect a connected experience.
Job responsibilities:
- Partner with HR Product and Engineering to support the end-to-end Annual Planning cycle, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring on-time delivery
- Serve as a compensation subject matter expert for technical partners — translating requirements into actionable guidance and maintaining clear documentation of comp logic and methodology
- Champion an integrated approach across performance, talent, promotion, and compensation by identifying dependencies and ensuring planning tools and processes reflect a cohesive employee and manager experience
- Track and manage cross-functional dependencies across the compensation, Product, and Engineering teams to keep planning workstreams aligned
- Develop and deliver clear, actionable recommendations and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders
- Document decisions, business requirements, and process changes to support system enhancements and planning cycle improvements
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 4 years of HR and project management experience with strong analytical and data management skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet strict deadlines, and coordinate across global time zones
- Demonstrates a methodological approach to problem solving; attempts problem solving first before turning to others for a solution
- Synthesizes critical information for key stakeholder and senior leader presentations; records takeaways and decisions from regular meetings with key partners
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
- Self-starter with a proactive, client-focused, and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience supporting or coordinating Annual Planning, budgeting, or compensation cycles
- Familiarity with HR systems or product development workflows (e.g., requirements gathering, UAT, release cycles)
- Prior exposure to compensation program design or execution
