The Compensation Analyst shall be the person responsible for the Company’s compensation plan processes for the entire company.

SCOPE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of the Compensation Analyst shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Administers compensation cycles for the entire company, including domestic and international
  • Assists in planning and directing company’s compensation program
  • Conducts market pricing for corporate positions and ensures integrity with company’s salary structure
  • Oversees the company’s bonus and incentive compensation award process, including domestic and international plans
  • Coordinates expatriate compensation reporting
  • Prepares annual executive and director compensation reports and analyses
  • Administers the Company’s incentive plans and Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Administers the Company’s Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan
  • Participates in compensation surveys and reviews survey results compared to the company’s compensation practices
  • Answers employee questions on company compensation plans and provides additional requested information to employees
  • Reviews annual schedules and financial statements for the 401k plan, Puerto Rico profit sharing plan and the health & welfare plan; and ensures the 5500s are filed in a timely manner
  • Assists with the preparation of the company’s proxy statement, 10-Q and 10-K disclosures for executive compensation and FAS123R compliance           
  • Reviews all communications to company’s employees relative to compensation, and ensures compliance with laws and regulations
  • May develop and conduct training presentations for company’s employees on their compensation
  • Prepares analysis for executive management pertaining to company’s compensation programs
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

           

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or other business related field.
  • Experience:  Five years of experience in a business environment with increasing responsibility. 
  • Skills: 
    • Excellent problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
    • Language-fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access, Internet Services, and various office equipment (fax, printer, telephone and copier).
    • Ability to get along well with others.
  • Must be willing to board and ride vessels to increase understanding of how this role supports our business.

DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Compensation Analyst shall have the following physical capabilities:

Eyesight:         Functional, correctable to 20/20.

Hearing:           Functional, correctable to normal to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.

Speech:           Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.

Mobility:          Unencumbered by physical limitations to perform the following activities:  Sedentary work in an office environment that includes frequent sitting, occasional standing and walking, gross and fine motor dexterity for typing and reasonable lifting of office products up to 10 lbs.

                                                                                                                       

HOURS OF WORK

Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm and may be adjusted with approval by the department supervisor.  Some overtime, work related travel and weekend work may be required, subject to company operational requirements. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Note: Rotation schedule may vary and is subject to change based on vessel requirements.
