Summary:
The Entry-Level Community Systems Strengthening Officer supports the design and implementation of community-driven health and development initiatives under the guidance of senior technical staff. This role focuses on building and sustaining community-based structures such as Community Quality Improvement Teams (CQITs) and Community Development Associations (CDAs), ensuring effective linkages between communities and health facilities. The officer assists in identifying local priorities, addressing social barriers like stigma and gender-based violence (GBV), and contributing to integrated programming aligned with ICHSSA 1 frameworks. Through close collaboration with local government and partners, the role promotes inclusive, community-led development and supports resource mobilization efforts from local sources. The position offers a foundational opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community systems strengthening, program coordination, and grassroots engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing community strategies and financing plans in coordination with senior staff.
  • Support the establishment, monitoring, and reporting on the performance of CQITs, CDAs, and other community structures.
  • Contribute to initiatives addressing community-level challenges such as stigma, gender-based violence (GBV), and access to care.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between the organization and local government or community stakeholders.
  • Help document community priorities and support their integration into program planning and implementation.
  • Assist in organizing and tracking resource mobilization activities from local government, small enterprises, and individual donors.
  • Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting for community programs using established tools and systems.
