We are seeking a passionate and proactive Entry Level Community Outreach Representative to join our team. In this role, you will help to promote our programs and initiatives, engage with community members, and build relationships with local organizations and stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in community outreach, public relations, or nonprofit management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with community members to raise awareness of our programs and initiatives.
- Assist in organizing and executing community events, workshops, and informational sessions. Support efforts to expand our reach and impact within the community.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and other key stakeholders. Foster partnerships that align with our mission and goals.
- Promote our programs through community networks. Help create and distribute marketing materials.
- Provide accurate information about our programs, services, and events to community members. Address questions and concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Gather feedback from community members and event participants to help improve our programs and outreach strategies.
- Maintain records of outreach activities, event outcomes, and community interactions. Provide regular updates to the Outreach Manager on progress and results.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to outreach efforts, including scheduling, data entry, and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management) is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in community outreach, customer service, or public relations is a plus but not required. We welcome recent graduates and individuals with a passion for community service.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and build relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
