Job Overview:

Swee Lee is seeking a talented and highly motivated Community Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for music, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies and community initiatives. As the Community Manager, you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Lead, the Senior Marketing Manager, Community & Events, and local Swee Lee teams to drive brand awareness to enhance customer engagement and increase brand affinity towards Swee Lee in our local regions.

Responsibilities:

Social Media & Community Engagement

  • Manage and maintain all social media accounts, ensuring consistent, on-brand, and engaging content is posted regularly.
  • Create engaging, high-quality content (photos, videos, graphics, and copy) tailored for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Work with the Marketing Project Manager to ensure social media communications for key launches, product features, and community posts are launched on time according to the marketing calendar.
  • Engage actively with the online community, responding to comments and messages and fostering meaningful interactions to build loyalty.
  • Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to enhance brand visibility.

Artist Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with artists, influencers, and other key figures in the music community.
  • Identify and onboard emerging talent to collaborate with Swee Lee.
  • Seek and coordinate new opportunities for artist-focused marketing content, including behind-the-scenes content, events and product showcases, and interviews.
  • Coordinate artist endorsements, partnerships, and sponsorships to promote our products from both owned and distributed brands.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between artists and internal teams across our operated regions to facilitate collaborations, campaigns, and events.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and expenditure of artist marketing campaigns.

Market Insights & Competitor Research

  • Conduct regular research to spot localised marketing trends, audience preferences, and emerging channels in the local music retail scene.
  • Perform competitor analysis among key players in the local music retail scene to gather insights, identify opportunities, and refine marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with the local retail and customer support teams to gather key customer insights to define key market pain points and opportunities to be addressed.

Localised Marketing Initiatives 

  • Develop and execute market-specific campaigns, including identifying the ideal channel mix and touchpoints for target audiences.
  • Collaborate with the content, retail, and marketing teams to adapt global strategies to the local market.
  • Craft innovative initiatives to resonate with local communities and drive customer engagement. 

Event Planning & Execution 

  • Plan, organise, and execute local events to engage the local music community and promote Swee Lee.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless event delivery and execution.
  • Ensure seamless and world-class event operations, upholding the highest standards of execution and attendee experience. 

Event Administration & Documentation 

  • Serve as a primary administrative contact for event-related documentation, proactively liaising with clients and partners to acquire essential materials such as technical riders, press photos, and artist biographies.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and expenditure of events, including creating and managing monthly event and individual event P&Ls.
  • Follow up on inquiries with potential clients and partners, ensuring all communications are tracked, and the inquiry tracker is accurately and promptly updated.
  • Manage the tracking of both incoming and outgoing invoices and their respective payment statuses. Liaise with the Finance team to address payment issues and ensure accurate reconciliation.
  • Update and maintain project management systems to reflect current project progress, changes, and deadlines.
  • Review, vet, and prepare contracts and agreements for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Perform various ad hoc administrative tasks and support duties as required to ensure smooth and efficient team operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social media management, community engagement, or digital marketing roles, preferably within the music instrument or music-related industry.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Passion for music and a good knowledge of the local music scene is a MUST.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent grasp of the local music retail market trends and cultural nuances.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and execute events.
  • Highly creative, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively within a global team.
